Word for the Workweek
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so...Psalm 107:2
I have thoroughly enjoyed reflecting over the blessings of this past Sunday. The feeling in our services was an exceptionally pleasant one. We are beginning to see new faces every now and then. God is truly blessing us each week. We are experiencing new assurances because of the hope we have in Christ.
When Andrew experienced the Christ, he went and got his brother, Simon Peter and brought him to Jesus (John 1). Phillip went to the sceptic, Nathaniel, who came to believe because of the words from his friend. The woman at the well (John 4) left her water pot after experiencing salvation and went into the town telling people, "Come see a man who told me everything I ever did!" Just so you know, this woman did not have a good reputation in town. She probably went to some of the people she had sinned against. Her testimony changed a region for Christ. Just let me say that God loves us, and he wants to restore hope in us. He is reminding us that we have a story to tell too!
What could your testimony produce? You will never know, if you do not share it. Remember, you do not have to be good at sharing your story, because it is God who gives the increase, not you. Your responsibility is to keep scattering the seed. Now look around, the fields are ripe unto harvest. It's time to find another soul who needs to be invited to Mt. Zion General Baptist Church!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us to do your will in reaching others for Christ. This is not about making the Mt. Zion Church great, for if that is our reason, we will fail. It is all about your son, our risen Lord. Help us to properly exalt HIm and tell His story to our corner of the world. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
To God Be the Glory, Great Things He Is doing!
