Mt Zion has been a landmark in our community since 1876. While our building's location might very well be a little bit out of the way, we believe that we are strategically located in an area which is growing. It might appear that we are a “vanishing landmark” as one local newspaper once noted. But when anyone visits this church they find that we are alive and growing.

Our sanctuary is filled with worshipers each week and our Sunday school continues to break attendance records. To what do we attribute this growth? The people of Mt. Zion focus on the basic needs of the community and direct the ministry efforts on those needs.

The most important ministry, which we believe is the direct cause of our success, is our focus on prayer. Without prayer we know that there would be no church growth and there would be no church.
