Message from the Pastor

Praise God for all He is doing at Mt. Zion!

Several made renewed commitments this past Sunday at the conclusion of the worship service both at the altar and right where they were at. I believe that God is not finished yet with the work He wants to do among His church at Mt. Zion.

I want to take this time to promote some changes taking place around our "little church in the cornfield."

1. Beginning this Sunday, as we have been talking about for several months, we are going to two services. The first service is at 8:00 am and will be a more traditionally formatted worship style. The second service will be at 10:30 am and will consist of a little more contemporary worship style.

2. Mt. Zion recently added a church secretary to our staff which has been a considerable relief off of your pastor. I personally want to thank

Karen Anderson for her hard work!! She has singlehandedly organized the office and made it a better place where work can be accomplished! Thank you Karen!!!

3. We are in the process of interviewing for the worship leader/pastor position. Many have asked about this much needed move in the ministry of the church so I wanted to let you know that we are working on this.

4. Small groups are popping up! Some are already beginning and others will soon be announced. Small groups are necessary for (a) growth among believers, (b) community among the believers and (c) the ongoing work of sharing Great News about the Great Message of Jesus Christ!

With everything going on at Mt. Zion I pray that you will discover your place to connect with God and other Christ followers in fulfilling the Great Commission!

I’ll see you at Mt. Zion this Sunday where something great is bound to happen!
